Texas Woman Suing MGM Resorts After Las Vegas Shooting
A Texas woman hurt in the Las Vegas shooting has filed the first lawsuit against MGM Resorts International and is being represented by Pinkerton Law.
Pinkerton claims the hotel employees failed to stop Paddock from bringing many firearms and ammunition into Mandalay Bay.
“Mandalay bay had the opportunity to make this safe and didn’t do so,” Pinkerton said. “This man brought in 10 suitcases of weapons and over 500 rounds. He built a fortress and barricaded himself in his room and went unnoticed.”
Pinkerton added Live Nation failed to offer an accessible exit for concertgoers in case of an emergency.
Paige Gasper, 21, has filed a lawsuit against multiple businesses related to the gunfire outside of MGM including Mandalay Corporation, Live Nation Entertainment and Slide Fire Solutions of Moran Texas. Gasper is from Texas and attends school at Sonoma State, according to a GoFundMe page.
